It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Colette Amyot Gagliano

1950 - 2022

Colette Michelle Amyot Gagliano, age 71, passed away peacefully January 6, 2022 after a short but hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born January 21, 1950 to Denise Lafortune and Roger Massie (d. 2021), raised by Charles-Emile Amyot (d.1976) and Aline Lafortune (d.1982).  She married the love of her life, Carmelo Gagliano, in October of 1969 who preceded her in death in March of 2019. Loving mother of Paul Gagliano (Kimberly) and David Gagliano (Dana); her beloved grandchildren Alyssa, Jenna and Tyler, step-grandchildren Holden, Katelyn, Madison and Logan. She fought hard and with grace in anticipation for her soon to arrive great-grandson Jaxton. Predeceased by step-father Henri Boisvert, brothers Francois Amyot, Gilles Amyot and sister Ghislaine Amyot. She is survived by her brother Claude Amyot and half-siblings Suzanne Massie Manchevsky, Raymond Massie and Rick Massie.

Colette also leaves behind her numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, along with so many other family members and friends. All of which she loved so dearly.

A funeral mass will be held on January 14, 2022, at Les Jardins Du Souvenir, situated at 75 Boul. Fournier, Gatineau, QC. Condolences will begin at 2:00pm. (By Invitation Only due to COVID restrictions)

The family wishes to thank the incredible staff members at La Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie for the amazing care and compassion they showed her in her final days.

The organization Les Jardins du Souvenir will webcast the funeral ceremony of Colette Amyot on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 2:00 PM EST to 3:00 PM EST .
