POLICY CONCERNING SNOW REMOVAL IN THE CEMETERIES OF THE MEMORIAL GARDENS (2022-2023)
Considering that climate change has an increasingly important impact on the seasons, and on our winters (succession of rain, ice, snow, cold, etc.), the Jardins du Souvenir have chosen to review their snow removal policies for the winter of 2022-2023, the following rules will apply:
- On storm days: priority will be given to snow removal at Notre-Dame Cemetery (75 Fournier Blvd.) and at cemeteries where burials are to take place;
- We are committed to completing the snow removal and spreading of abrasives in all of our cemeteries within 24 hours of the end of the storm;
- During stormy days, we invite our clients and visitors to avoid driving through our cemeteries in order to avoid getting stuck in the snow or on the ice and in order not to interfere with snow removal operations;
- Due to the low number of burials recorded in previous years in some of our cemeteries, we will not be proceeding with systematic snow removal in the following cemeteries: Saint-Alexandre, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges (Masson), Ange-Gardien (except for the columbarium section), Saint-Fidèle (Fassett), Notre-Dame de Bonsecours (Montebello), Saint-Émile-de-Suffolk, Sainte Valérie (Boileau), Saint-Louis-de-France (Poltimore), Saint-Pierre de Wakefield, Saint-Antoine de Padoue (Perkins), Saint-Nom de Marie (Lac Sainte-Marie).
