It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Rowena Boulay on Saturday August 19, 2023 in Ottawa at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late D’Arcy Boulay. Daughter of the late Alex Ball and the late Olive (nee Wells) of Bishop’s Falls Newfoundland. Loving mother of Faye Ball of Ottawa, John Pye of Ottawa, Paul Pye (Marlene) of Scarborough, Sylvia Chevrier (Ron) of Chelmsford and Wade Pye (Angele) of Sturgeon Falls. She was predeceased by her son Bert Pye (Rose), her granddaughter Candace Boivin, her grandson Cayden Pye and her close cousin Alex Ball of Sudbury. She will fondly be remembered by her 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, close cousin Walt (Linda and Noel Ward) and special friends Noriko Komai, Sandy, the ladies at the Red Hat Society and many neighbours.
A proud Newfoundlander, Rowena cherished her family. She also enjoyed going to the Casino and for leisurely drives in the countryside. As per her wishes, there will not be a public service, rather intimate family celebrations.
