Over the years, incineration has gradually supplanted traditional burial of the body. Today in the Outaouais region of Quebec, about 90% of the population have expressed the desire to be cremated.

At Les Jardins du Souvenir, it possible to bury the urn containing the ashes or the coffin containing the body of the deceased in one of the many concessions in our six cemeteries.

In 1979, Les Jardins du Souvenir was the first to offer the services of a crematorium in the Outaouais and to offer columbariums for the deposit of urns containing ashes.

You are permitted to attend the cremation ceremony. A special room can be made available at no charge

In 2009, Les Jardins du Souvenir installed mechanical descents for the interment of urns. This service has been introduced in the interest of greater respect for the deceased and to offer grieving families a tranquil final goodbye. These new descents are exclusive to Les Jardins du Souvenir.
